Head Coach / Gym Manager / Level 2 CrossFit Trainer
I first found the weight room in 8th grade. I immediately fell in love with in there and the results of the hard work I put in there. At the time, and for the following 8 years it was all for sports, specifically football. My routines and habits have taken many different turns since then, but one thing has remained constant, and that was consistency. Since I first began working out, I don’t think I’ve gone longer than 2 weeks without doing something to work on my fitness.
Being able to bench press a lot, squat or deadlift a lot, or run really far or fast all have their benefits but they do not offer a true measure of fitness by themselves. It wasn’t until I tried Crossfit for the first time that I realized there was a whole world I’ve been missing out on. Crossfit is the perfect mixture of strength, endurance, and skill. It will always challenge you to go outside your comfort zone which is great, because that’s where change and improvement happens. (I’m talking about gainzzz!)
I have not been back to a traditional or any other type of gym other than Crossfit since I first started in February of 2014. I’ve never needed to. The increased cardiovascular endurance, strength and skill, along with the confidence I found are all from Crossfit Wooster. My fitness is a direct result of the hard work, coaching, nutritional advice, programming, and most importantly, the community of Crossfit Wooster. I coach so that others can find the same thing I did. I hope to see you soon.
“It will hurt. It will take time. It will require dedication. It will require willpower. You will need to make healthy decisions. It requires sacrifice. You will need to push your body to its max. There will be temptation. But, I promise you, when you reach your goal, it’s worth it.” - Unknown
